chant along: EKA MAI

connecting to the sound of creation

The entire knowledge of the universe is already vibrating within.

This is the reminder we get from listening to the 30th pauri of Japji, Eka Mai.

I first wrote the music to this pauri when my wife was pregnant and it has been a continuous sound companion for us and for our now 29-month-old son Eā. It connects me to the beauty of creation, and it reminds me that the divine spark can be found in any situation and in any circumstance.

“If you can qualify or master that pauri, there is nothing you cannot create. God has no power against this ladder. Pauri means ladder. This is the ladder Nanak gave to a female:

Eka maa-ee jugat vi-aa-ee tin chaylay parvaan.
Ik sansaaree ik bhandaaree ik laa-ay deebaan.
Jiv tis bhaavai tivai chalaavai jiv hovai furmaan.
Oh vaykhai onaa nadar na aavai bahutaa ayhu vidaan.
Aadays tisai aadays.
Aad aneel anaad anaahat jug jug ayko vays.

This is the blessing you give to somebody, there is nothing that can stop it. It can cut through anything."

Eka Mai connects us back to the Divine Mother. It places us upon the throne of divinity. It makes us into a sage and a saint.

How to incorporate this pauri into your life?

  1. By playing Eka Mai 11 times and chanting along, at the end of your morning practice, for 40 days.

  1. Before going to bed, recite the 30th pauri of Japji 11 times.

  2. Playing Eka Mai while you sleep will activate your strength as a creative being and bring radiance into your field.

We know that you can infuse your sleep and reprogram your subconscious mind by looping a mantra that will redirect your mind to the radiance frequency. Press ‘Play’ ▶️ and ‘Repeat’ 🔂 on your favourite app (you can download the track and have your phone in flight mode, this will work).

  3. By playing Eka Mai 24/7 to elevate your living space, connect you to your own beauty and the beauty of creation.

  4. By creating your own Eka Mai water. “Charge” your water by playing Eka Mai next to your bottle, and drink your Eka Mai-infused water throughout the day.

  5. By playing the song, and chanting along: notice how uplifted you feel just after a few recitations.

  6. By playing Eka Mai in your classes if you are teaching, and making this sound a companion for your students as they experience themselves expanding.

What has been your experience with Eka Mai?
