Sat Naam dear friends,
It is my pleasure to share with you my latest single, now available:
Sat Kriya - Kundalini Rising is an energetic and powerful track designed to elevate your yoga practice, especially for the transformative practice of Sat Kriya.
With its epic soundscapes, this song channels intense energy, creating an atmosphere that ignites the spirit and fuels the rise of Kundalini. The dynamic rhythms and uplifting melodies open a space for deep connection and cosmic release, making it the perfect soundtrack for a transcendent experience.
HOW TO PRACTICE SAT KRIYA
Sat Kriya is one of the most fundamental and powerful exercises in Kundalini Yoga. It combines a specific body posture with breath, mantra, and meditation techniques to stimulate the kundalini energy at the base of the spine. It involves a rhythmic chanting of the mantra "Sat Nam," which means "Truth is my identity". The practice involves coordinated movement, breathwork, and mantra chanting that helps awaken and channel the kundalini energy from the base of the spine (the root chakra) upwards through the rest of the chakras.
POSTURE
Sit on your heels in Rock Pose. If sitting on the heels is difficult, sit cross-legged. Ensure your spine is straight and your chin is slightly tucked in.
MUDRA
Stretch your arms straight up overhead, keeping your elbows straight alongside your ears. Interlace your fingers, except for the index fingers, which should point straight up.
→ For men, the right thumb should cross over the left thumb.
→ For women, the left thumb should cross over the right thumb.
MANTRA
As you chant "Sat," pull your navel point inward and upward toward your spine.
As you chant "Nam," release your navel point and relax your belly.
Continue this rhythmic contraction and relaxation of the navel point with each repetition of the mantra.
Play the song along to guide your practice.
BREATHING
Breathe naturally but powerfully as you chant the mantra Sat Nam. The breath will naturally adjust to the rhythm of the mantra and the pumping of the navel.
TIME
Start with 3 minutes and gradually increase to 11 minutes.
TO END
End the kriya by inhaling deeply, and applying Mul Bandh (root lock) by contracting the muscles of the anus, sex organs, and lower abdomen. Hold for a few seconds.
Exhale and repeat this sequence two more times.
Then relax completely on your back in Savasana for the same length of time as the kriya practice to integrate the energy. You can play the sound ONG to relax and integrate the practice.
BENEFITS OF THE PRACTICE
Balances and Stimulates the Nervous System
The rhythmic contraction of the navel point and chanting of "Sat Nam" stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation and reducing stress.Strengthens the Core and Muscles
Regular practice of Sat Kriya helps strengthen the abdominal muscles and improves core stability.Awakens Kundalini Energy
This kriya directly works to awaken and channel kundalini energy, a powerful spiritual force said to reside at the base of the spine.Promotes Emotional Healing and Stability
It helps release stored emotions and trauma from the lower chakras, promoting emotional healing and stability.Enhances Mental Clarity and Focus
The repetitive nature of the mantra and the focus required in the practice help cultivate mental clarity and enhance concentration.Supports Circulation and Digestion
The pumping motion stimulates blood flow, supporting circulation and digestion. It also helps balance the digestive system by increasing metabolism and strengthening the digestive fire (Agni).Balances Sexual Energy and Boosts Creativity
By stimulating the lower chakras, Sat Kriya helps balance sexual energy, thereby enhancing creativity and passion.
